Vaughan Music Studios had the pleasure of hosting a very special studio session event for Panasonic, Honda/Acura, Warner Brothers’ band JR JR, and Engineer Matt Scheiner, (son of multi-Grammy winner Eliot Scheiner), assisted by VMS’s studio producer, Mark Abrams. Read more below!
For one full day, our entire studio including our newly upgraded control room, 1000 square ft live room, and state-of the-art instruction areas, were completely transformed for this one of a kind corporate event. We were asked to help showcase the process of recording and mixing music for quality playback through the spectacular Eliot Scheiner ELS Studio Premium Audio System by Panasonic.
The day started early with JR JR tracking, while corporate organizers set up, and several high end Acura/Honda vehicles equipped with the ELS Sound Systems were showcased in our parking lot. 70 Panasonic and Honda department leaders and head engineers from several national corporate locations were the invited guests. They were seated and equipped with headphones to listen while JR JR recorded a stripped down rendition of their song "Gone.” The live mix was then bounced to a disc and brought out to the cars that featured the ELS Systems. These are the systems that were engineered and individually tuned by the guests and their departments. The band and guests were able to compare how similar the sound of the studio mix was to the representation through the car's speakers. Our parking lot was transformed into an elegant cocktail lounge, with catering provided by Rigsbys Kitchen in a tented area, which featured some of Acura's 2016 models, complete with the ELS Sound Systems.
We were happy to have had the opportunity to host such an exciting event, and loved working with the talented JR JR and engineer Matt Scheiner. If you or your business is interested in hosting your own event at Vaughan Music Studios, send us an email at email@example.com!
